Longhair Dreams is a specialized premium marketplace for the safe buying and selling of high-quality human hair. Our platform connects buyers and sellers directly.
2.How does selling hair work?
Sellers create a listing with details such as hair length, hair color, and texture, along with photos. Interested buyers can then contact them directly.

We are particularly looking for:
- long hair
- untreated, natural hair
- healthy, shiny hair
- rare colors or unusual lengths
The potential selling price depends, among other things, on length, condition, color, and volume.
4. Do I need an account to browse listings?
You can browse public listings without an account. An account is required to contact sellers and/or make offers/enquiries.

Buying Hair
- Create an account
- Browse listings (homepage, categories, and search)
- Contact the seller with questions (condition, length, thickness/weight, photos, shipping)
- Pay only via PayPal invoice (Goods & Services)
- Wait for confirmation of payment clearance before the seller ships
Open a listing and use the enquiry/contact option (visible based on your account status). Keep communication on-platform where possible.
PayPal only. We strongly recommend paying via PayPal invoice for buyer/seller protection. Do not use “Friends & Family.”
Only when you are satisfied with the listing details and you have agreed on terms (price, shipping, timeline). Always pay through PayPal (invoice preferred).
Returns depend on the agreement between buyer and seller. Because hair is a personal hygiene–sensitive product, many sellers do not accept returns once opened/used. If there is a dispute, use PayPal’s dispute process and provide evidence.
First, contact the seller to attempt resolution. If you cannot resolve it, you may open a dispute via PayPal. Keep photos, messages, and shipping proof.
Selling Hair
- Create a seller profile
- Create a listing with accurate details (length, color, virgin/treated, split ends, etc.)
- Upload clear photos (and optional video if available)
- Communicate with buyers and agree on terms
- Request payment via PayPal invoice
- Cut/ship only after payment clearance
Never cut or ship before receiving and confirming payment. Always wait for confirmed PayPal payment clearance.
At minimum:
- Length (preferably from a dropdown to avoid errors)
- Thickness/weight (grams if used)
- Color and whether it is natural/dyed
- Hair condition (healthy, dry, split ends, etc.)
- Virgin vs. non-virgin/processed
- Any treatments (bleach, color, keratin, relaxer)
- Clear photos in natural light
- Tie hair securely (top/middle/bottom if possible)
- Keep strands aligned (ponytail/braid method)
- Place in a sealed bag, then padded envelope/box
- Use tracked shipping and keep proof of postage
Reviews/ratings may be used to improve trust and safety on the platform. Availability can depend on the current feature rollout.
Listings, Fees, Featured Placement
Long Hair Dreams may offer paid listing options and upgrades. The fee structure can change over time and may vary by listing type.
Example pricing discussed for sellers creating ads:
- Lifetime Listing (Individual Hair): $20
- 60-day Listing (Individual Hair): $17.50
- 120-day Listing (Extensions/Processed Hair): $50
Upgrades: - Featured Listing: +$10
- SuperBooster (Top of the page): +$8
These prices were also considered for hair donation and hair requests.
The calculator provides an estimate of hair value based on factors like length, thickness, color, and whether hair is virgin. It may link you to create a listing after calculation. The calculator concept uses a minimum hair length of 6 inches.
Identity/address/company verification may be offered (e.g., a check mark) to increase trust, but this can be optional and may not be available in every release.
Safety, Prohibited Items, Privacy
Yes. Prohibited content includes fraudulent listings, stolen content/photos, harassment, scams, and any listing that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
Use the platform’s reporting tools (if available) or contact support. If you suspect fraud, do not proceed with payment.
